So how do we help?

What can we do to help to fight the climb of greenhouse gasses in our one and only small little planet? We are all concerned about how much really can one person’s actions affect this global phenomenon. Can I really make a change?

Well, we are more than 6 billion single persons on this planet and hopefully, it is not only you that is taking an action. Some of us are executives in large multinational companies that can affect decisions regarding use of energy and resources.
If some of these executives are on our side (sorry, our “planet side”), we can, and we will make a change!

Following are ideas for actions and habits you can start with.
Don’t jump too quickly into deep water. Start slow and after a while some of these steps will become a second nature for you.

Green homes

If not constructed properly, our homes are one of the main energy wasting structures built by human society. If not insulated properly, the heat leaks out in the winter and the cool air is leaking out during the summer hot days.
If you are building a new home try and design it the "green" way.
Save money and save the environment by constructing it in a way that will maximize the effect of sunlight and other nature's hidden treasures.
You can find tonnes of stuff by searching this subject on the internet or asking your architect about it.

Insulate your home

If you already have an existing home, see your local hardware store for advice of how to improve your home insulation. It will cost you, but no more than what you will save in energy bills and the good feeling that you are helping the planet.
One of the main culprits are the windows - Refit your windows to slow down the heat escaping through your windows. Install energy efficient windows, for example double-glazing or secondary glazing

Ceiling Fan

Use a ceiling fan to cool you down and you will save money and save the environment.
Even when it's hot, with a fan going, you can set the thermostat nine degrees higher and feel just as comfortable — and save about a third off your cooling (and global-warming) bill.
