Bromelain Increase the risk of bleeding when already taking blood thinners.
Echinacea May interact with immunosuppressive drugs.
Ephedra May worsen the side effects of other types of stimulants.
Garlic May increase the effect of blood thinners.
Ginko May increase the effect of blood thinners.
Ginseng May worsen the side effects of other types of stimulants.
Hawthorn May increase the actions for some heart medicine and decrease their side effects.
High-tannin herbs Reduce the absorption of most medicines and drugs.
High-berberine herbs Counteract short-acting blood thinners.
High-fibre herbs May delay the absorption of most drugs taken at the same time.
Liquorice May worsen the effects medicines/drugs that cause loss of potassium.
Siberian ginseng May increase the effects of antibiotics.
St John's wort May increase the effects of narcotics and some antidepressants.
Valerian May increase the effects sedatives.
